The Washington Lawyers’ Committee is pleased to announce a new partnership with ONE D.C., a community-based organization that has organized residents of the Shaw neighborhood to address issues of injustice and inequality through community organizing and popular education for almost one decade. The Committee and ONE D.C. will collaborate to advance their shared goals of addressing issues of entrenched poverty and discrimination in the District of Columbia. Through this collaboration, the Committee will work with ONE D.C. to support its organizing efforts, offering representation to its members and/or the organization in matters of discrimination, as needed.
Currently, the Committee and ONE D.C. are exploring opportunities to collaborate on ONE D.C. campaigns related to both housing and employment discrimination.
