Join us Monday, May 9, for a conversation with Congressman Jamie Raskin about his recent book Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy, sponsored by our Associate Trustees. In the book Congressman Raskin weaves together the remarkable life of his son, who died by suicide, and the insurrection of the Capitol on January 6th, events that occurred just one week apart. The book is moving and powerful; deeply personal, but also a reflection on how close we came to losing the democracy.
Congressman Raskin will be in conversation at the event with WLC Board Member Neil Eggleston. Neil, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis, served as White House Counsel for President Barack Obama and has a long record of public service.
