Mirela Missova joined the Committee as Counsel in 2018, focusing on individual and collective or class action housing discrimination cases for the Committee.

Ms. Missova is a graduate of Columbia Law School.  While in law school, Ms. Missova completed internships at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Minnesota, where she worked on a variety of civil and criminal matters, as well as at the Legal Aid Society in New York, where she focused on immigration deportation defense.  Following graduation in 2013, Ms. Missova joined the law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher as a litigation associate, where she maintained an active pro bono practice.  Ms. Missova also served as a visiting attorney at the Committee as part of an externship program through Willkie Farr in 2017 to early 2018, where she fell in love with the Committee and its work.  As a visiting attorney, she took cases in many areas of the Committee’s practice groups, including fair housing, disability, equal employment, and prisoners’ rights.  Ms. Missova is fluent in French and conversational in Bulgarian.
