Rod Boggs is the Washington Lawyers' Committee's Executive
Director, a position he has held since 1971. As director,
he has guided the Committee for virtually its entire
life, developing and expanding its work to cover the
wide range of civil rights matters for which it is well
known. His prior work experience includes service as
a staff attorney at the National Lawyers' Committee
for Civil Rights, and an assignment with the Ford Foundation
in the Government of Tanzania's Ministry of Economic
Affairs and Development Planning. In 1969 and 1970,
he served as the District Representative for Congressman
Allard K. Lowenstein of New York. Mr. Boggs is a graduate
of the Columbia University Law School and Colgate University.
He also holds an M.Sc. Degree in International Relations
from the London School of Economics.

Ms.
Bowman, a lawyer with experience in publishing, fundraising,
and higher education administration, joined the Committee
after working as a Legal Editor in individual employment
rights for the Labor Relations Reporter at The Bureau
of National Affairs, Inc., in Washington, D.C. She has
also worked as a fundraising consultant for the Congressional
Black Caucus Foundation, Inc., and as Director of Affirmative
Action Programs at Harvard University. Ms. Bowman is a
graduate of Dartmouth College, University of Virginia
Law School, and Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Bob Bruskin, Esq.

After completing a 30 year
career as a commercial litigator at Howrey, LLP, Bob joined the Lawyer's Committee in 2004 as Senior Counsel.
In his private practice, Bob was responsible for litigating and trying complex disputes involving a broad range of
commercial issues as well as numerous pro bono matters. At the Committee, Bob has litigated many matters involving
housing and disability rights in both Federal and state court and before various local agencies. He is a member
of the District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court as well as
numerous Federal District and Circuit courts throughout the country. Bob has a J.D. from the Georgetown Law Center (1972)
and a B. Ch. E. from the City College of the City University of New York (1968). He is also an Adjunct
Professor of Law at American University's Washington College of Law. |
