Amal Mimish

Amal Mimish joined the Committee as a paralegal supporting the Fair Housing and the Disability Rights projects in February 2016. Along with the Committee’s other paralegals, Ms. Mimish manages the intake process by acting as the first point of contact for all potential clients. In addition, she provides litigation support to our attorneys.

Ms. Mimish graduated from American University in 2013 with a B.A. in International Studies. After receiving her degree, she worked as a labor organizer on a campaign to secure higher wages and benefits for federal contract workers. Additionally, Ms. Mimish worked as a civic data research fellow on the Reflective Democracy Project, conducting original research that revealed the race and gender of 40,000 locally elected government officials. Afterwards, she worked on the Ballot Information Project which brought voting information to millions of Americans before midterm elections in 2014. Ms. Mimish interned at the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and at a private practice law office.
