Deputy Director
Rhonda Cunningham Holmes joined the Washington Lawyers' Committee as Deputy Director in October 2011.
As deputy director, Holmes is responsible for the oversight of all administrative operations of the Committee, including financial management, human resources, information systems and facilities. She is also involved in the Committee’s fundraising and client development efforts.
Ms. Holmes was a litigator at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where her practice focused on intellectual property, insurance and complex commercial litigation cases in federal and state courts. She regularly maintained pro bono matters in her caseload, primarily involving family law or landlord/tenant issues.
Holmes also has extensive management experience at several corporations, including JPMorgan Chase, Chrysler Corporation and Xerox Corporation. Most recently, Ms. Holmes was a vice president at Chevy Chase Bank where she established and then managed a new banking group in the commercial banking division.
