Wiley A. Branton Awards Luncheon
The Wiley A. Branton Award was first bestowed by the Washington Lawyers’ Committee in 1989. It takes its name from Wiley A. Branton, Sr., an extraordinary man whose life embodied civil rights advocacy of the highest order.

Washington, D.C. – A team from Alice Deal Middle School won the 8th Annual GeoPlunge Geography Tournament on January 9 at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in a citywide competition featuring more than 220 D.C. public school students on 74 teams from 30 elementary and middle schools
